Day 1

It was Trekking Team’s first ever trip to explore Endau Rompin in southern Peninsular Malaysia! Due to the overwhelming responses from the freshies, we opened up two runs for trek for the very first time! A big thank you to the very enthusiastic freshies and the supportive seniors who made this Intro Trek a successful one!

On the Day One, we gathered at 7.30am and set off on our journey. As we met on a super early morning, most of us dozed off on our journey there! We stopped over for a quick lunch and continued our butt aching journey on a 4WD! Around 1.30pm, we reached Endau Rompin and pitched our tents! Thankfully, we were blessed with great weather and we left for our trek as soon as our guide came.

So, here’s everyone before the team of 12 set off! All our happy faces;

The freshies were mostly in the post-camp mood and were pretty chatty! It wasn’t of much difficulty for us to get to know them better! All of them were very bubbly and entertaining I must say. As the trek did not have much obstacles or steep terrains, it wasn’t long before we reached the waterfall. Though there were many leeches on the way, it did not stop us from going for more treks like this! Instead, we conquered our fears! Good job everyone! I actually experienced a trek with leeches for the first time!

Look at the leech bite! *Squeals*

Everyone at the waterfall^^ Sorry Zav, your face got cut=( bad photographer! haha.

We had a great swim at the waterfall! #YOLO!!! Juniper and I were freezing in the water. “Brrr, Way too cold!”Most of us were first timers at a waterfall trek and we having a great deal of fun! It was a new and enjoyable experience for all of us!

Just for laughs people!

Here’s a clearer view of the terrain! It wasn’t as easy as we thought! Some rocks were slippery and there were uneven terrains at some point! However, I was glad everyone made their way back to the campsite safely especially for the freshies who were first timers;) Well done! We unpacked and started our field cooking as we were all starting to get the hunger pangs^^

Look at Our TM! So talented at cooking!

Most of us unleashed our talents for cooking and we had fun preparing our meals! There were even proper amenities for washing and eating=) I remembered Zhengda’s group had pasta and bacon, Yuhang’s group had noodles and porridge while mine had mac and cheese, noodles and cheesy mushrooms! We were all stealing each other’s food! HAHAHA

Most of them played Avalon and were laughing hysterically… (OMG) while some of us were just pretty amused by Zhengda’s new game! Everyone had a great laughing! Do ask him to demonstrate when you see him at trek run guys! Soon, it was pitch dark and all of us returned to our tents for a day’s rest.

Day 2

Woke up at 7am and had a quick breakfast! However, there were delay in our trek we only started at 9am! We heading off to Taka Tingi today! All of us were excited and were all ready to fight off the leeches on our way!

Our journey to Taka Tinggi!

Ben Looking like a boss!

The walk to Tingi was much further and challenging! It was fun trying to get pass these mini obstacles! In about 1.5hours, we finally reached our destination! We had a great time taking photos and chilling there for a while. Everyone was trying to get a good facebook profile photo. #ROFL.

Aaron and Peiting with their happy faces<3

Awesome Perfect View!

We wanna say thank you to all who made this trek a wonderful and memorable one! To all freshies, hope the leeches won’t scare you away! To all seniors, thank you for your effort and time!

That’s the end! Hope you had a fun time reading the trek log! Toodles!
